Here at Barkers we can cater for all your function needs.
From a 21st, a 30th, a 40th, an engagement party, corporate or any function.
Head Chef Rob Bateman can create a menu to suit your occasion. Function Managers Nikki Candis and Nicole Kennedy will liase with you to deliver a sensational event for you and your guests.
Barkers Restaurant
Barkers Wine Bar and Bistro is the transformation of the old ‘Beehive Hotel’ into one of Melbournes leading ‘gastro pubs’ with Michael Lambie as Executive Chef and Tony Twitchett as Head Chef overseeing the building program. With the merry go round that is the Melbourne restaurant scene both Michael and Tony have moved on to new projects.
Rob Bateman our new Head Chef has spent time in many great English kitchens including the 2 Michelin Star Gidleigh House. Taking the reigns at Barkers in January 2012, Rob has applied his fastidious attention to detail and background in fine dining to produce a revamped menu at Barkers. Staying close our Modern Australian creddo, Rob has introduced a tapas menu, ideal for a snack in the bar or as a starter to your dinner in our Restaurant and some of the dishes that he has created over the last 10 years in some of Englands best kitchens.

A minimum booking of 40 people is required to book out our Restaurant exclusively for lunch on any day and dinner Sunday to Thursday.
Dinner Friday and Saturday require a minimum booking of 50 people. A set menu is provided for these bookings, typically a choice of three entrees, three mains and three desert options selected from our main menu in consultation with Rob Bateman.

Barkers Bar
With a casual romantic atmosphere, highlited by our superb Murano Chandelier, the bar is popular for a quick meal and a drink or to linger over a bottle of wine chosen from our extensive wine list. Our restaurant menu is complimented by a snacks menu providing greater choices for diners in the bar. And of course our famous wood fired pizzas are available in both the bar and the restaurant.
For exclusive bookings in the bar a minimum party size of 80 people is required Friday and Saturday nights with this requirement reducing to 60 people for all other nights during the week and 50 people during all lunch times.

The Oyster Room.
For smaller groups from 10 to 20 people our newly redecorated Oyster Room is available. This area of Barkers provides a more intimate space for your function.

Minimum spend requirements are applied to all group bookings at Barkers.
